Delete Me - HackThisSite
From BinaryFreedom.INFO
This page represents the opinion of one Binary Freedom member and not the organization. It should probably be deleted (perhaps after first being copied and posted to the individual's blog). In the opinion of another Binary Freedom member some of the opinions expressed here are in no way aligned with Binary Freedom's goals; for example, without copyright the GPL could not exist, everything would be public domain, and companies could easily commercialize any public domain code and make the results non-redistributable with DRM.

[edit] Anti-Copyright
HackThisZine is an e-zine put out by HackThisSite and HackBloc. They are both part of the Anarchist, anti-copyright, anti-capitalist, and peace movement. They are in line with Binary Freedom's ideals because they are for the abolition of copyright. While Binary Freedom's official position is for the reform of copyright, anti-copyright movements like hackthiszine also advocate for copyright reform. BinaryFreedom.info can't official endorse their anti-copyright stance but it is in line with our ideals.
[edit] Anti-Capitalist
Because proprietary software relies on the exploitation and further secrecy of source code as well as exploitation of people, it is an example of why capitalism can be considered bad. BinaryFreedom maintains a neutral position on capitalism, but the ideals of Free Software are directly in line with communal systems such as Anti-Capitalism, Socialism, Anarco-Communism, Anarcho-Communalism, Communalism, Gift Economies, Really Really Free Markets, and Marxism due to the way code and information is distributed. It should be mentioned that many members of Binary Freedom chapters have anti-capitalist beliefs.
[edit] Peace Work
HackThisSite and HackThisZine have distributed information about and fought for peace. See Peace Movement
[edit] Anarchist
This site is primarily run by anarchists and all their work shows that.
[edit] Prisoner Support
They have been involved in freeing political prisoners and prisoners of conscience like the Sagada 11.
