Freedom of Speech in the modern world is becoming an ever more critical and valuable resource for technologists, scientists, true defenders of freedom, and for the human population the world around.People have the right for non-biased information. We need to loosen the death grip of censorship and control that technologies like DRM has under information channels, so that we can once again freely and openly share useful data and tools available for all to view and use as they see fit and most important get your information from different media on a fair, professional way with access to all people and all perspectives of a report. On the road to getting there, we must be able to use a standard set of tools that are developed by the community, for the community, and for the benefit to all mankind and not just to a single individual or corporate entity which might bind you or even persecute you if you are in danger of using their products in a fashion that is divergent from a EULA or 'intellectual property' agreement that is designed to strip away your freedoms.
We, the activist members of Binary Freedom, are working to ensure that the future of the world will have a suitable online environment featuring decentralized control of digital information. We stand to promote non-biased and independent media sources for our world news and views and we support the use of Free Software and libre (free) formats like ogg for the well being of the ideas that everyone will make depending on the information they manage to receive or that could have access to.
